Partitioning systems, built to the drawings
We set out and build metal stud partitions to the architect's drawings, then insulate, board and finish them. It is how an open shell becomes apartments, offices, studios and treatment rooms.

Partitions are fast to build, light, and easy to adapt for sound and fire performance. We frame openings for doors and glazing as we go, so the next trades can follow straight on.
At Oakfield House in Dorridge we built every partition across nine apartments. In Kenilworth we partitioned a commercial unit to create a treatment room for a new salon.

Partitioning systems: common questions
What is metal stud partitioning?
Metal stud partitions are non-load-bearing internal walls built from lightweight galvanised steel studs and tracks, then insulated and boarded with plasterboard on both sides. They go up quickly, stay straight, and turn an open shell into rooms.
Should I use metal studs or timber studs?
Metal studs are straight and consistent, do not shrink or twist, and are non-combustible, which is why they are the standard for commercial work and apartments. Timber studwork still suits some domestic jobs, and our carpenters build that too.
Can partitions be soundproofed or fire-rated?
Yes. Insulation in the cavity, extra or acoustic board layers and careful sealing at the head and base improve sound performance. Fire-rated partitions use specified boards and details to reach the rating the designer has set. We build to the tested system on the drawings.
Can metal stud partitions be changed later?
They are far easier to alter or remove than masonry walls, which is why offices and commercial units use them. A layout can be reworked when a tenant changes without major structural work.
Do you build partitions from architect's drawings?
Yes. We set out every partition to the drawings and frame door openings and glazing as we go, so the next trades can follow straight on. At Oakfield House in Dorridge we built every partition across nine apartments this way.
